ASSIST Austria was established to help young Austrian students currently in the 10th grade who would like to spend one year as exchange students in the United States as 11th graders. There are also some opportunities available to students entering 10th grade.
Our formal work in Austria began in the 2006-2007 academic year. Our first Austrian scholars distinguished themselves in their American independent schools, and ultimately 23 Austrian students have studied in the States under our auspices. Previously, Austrian students came as ASSIST scholars starting in the class of 1972.
